Mr. N64's Breakdown of Top Gear Rally's Game Elements:

Graphics:
4 out of 5: The lights on the cars actually work, the graphics are sharp, and if you don't like the design of your car, you can make your own! The special effects are cool and so is the way your car takes visible damage from colisions. Unfortunately, the game slows down a lot when other cars are on screen.

Music:

4 out of 5: Top Gear Rally's music is solid. The title theme is dramatic and cool. The in-game tunes are actually fairly calm and unique. At least they're not overly hyper, and while they may repeat, they don't get annoying.

Sound FX:

3 out of 5: To be honest, nothing stood out for me to comment on, so I have to say that the sounds were pretty average.

Play Control:

6 out of 10: The slipery control is not for everyone. It's not impossible, but it does take some getting used to. Selecting "grippy" tires doesn't make things much better. You'll have to spend more time worrying about which side the car is sliding toward rather than thinking about what's coming up ahead.

Frustration Factor:

4 out of 10 (10 being the worst): It's easy to wipe out, and thus lose the race. In general though, the gameplay is fair, and the points of frustration are kept to a minimum.
