Norberg's education, in addition to an M.A, degree from the University of Minnesota, has included personal study with Morris Kantor, Henry Pearson, Ben Cunningham, George Post, Zoltan Szabo, Robert E. Wood, Tony Van Hasselt, and Arne Lindmark.
Working first as a commercial illustrator following military service, Norberg went on to teach art in Minnesota high schools for 13 years. He left teaching for a full-time professional career, was named "Artist-in-Residence" by the Minnesota State Arts Council for 1976-77, and has been a recognized figure at the nationally juried Uptown Art Fair for 31 years.
Norberg's work is exhibited regularly, and is a part of many public and private collections including Duke University, Dean Whitter Reynolds, Hilton Hotels, The Minneapolis Club, 3M Corporation, General Mills, Twin City Federal, and hundreds of others. He has garnered national and regional awards, as well as many purchase awards. His work has been published by Northwestern Bell and the Courage Center, and he was the featured artist in the 75th Anniversary issue of ³The Illustrator², published in Spring, 1989.
