Aviation Operations Officer/ Military Pilot, (1987 to Present). Served in positions of increasing scope and responsibility within the Army National Guard. Directed the training of up to ninety pilots, technicians, mechanics, and flight operations personnel; acted as a liaison between aviation units and ground forces of Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, Korea, Germany, and Saudi Arabia; maintained personal and unit combat readiness. Served as an operational pilot and liaison officer during Operation Firestorm, 1994. Deployed on four state active-duty (SAD) deployments on orders from the Governor of Minnesota from 1999-2002 as an Air Mission Commander for aerial search operations, two natural disasters, and wildfire suppression. Currently serve as the Assistant Operations Officer and FTS (AGR) Training Officer of the Aviation Brigade, 34th (Red Bull) Infantry Division.
Systems Developer, Dayton Hudson Corporation- Information Services (DHCIS) Minneapolis, MN, (1997 to 1999). Responsible for developing and testing computer systems in support of the three operating divisions of the Dayton Hudson Corporation. Provided technical systems support for the three divisions. Currently on indefinite military leave from the Target Corporation in active service (AGR), U.S. Army.
Customer Service Manager, Target Stores / Dayton-Hudson Corporation, Vancouver, WA, (1994 to 1997).Responsible for all cash flow in a discount retail store. Managed eighty-five employees, four computer networks, and a thirty-eight register point of sale system. Ensured compliance with OSHA and WISHA requirements and provided customer service. Reduced expenses and contributed to three substantial annual sales increases. Served as computer system and technical resource for twelve stores. Developed a Training Management program now used Company-wide.
Director of Flight Operations/ Commercial Helicopter Pilot, (1992 to 1994). Marketed and conducted scenic helicopter flights, flight instruction, and helicopter airlifting services; ensured compliance with federal, state, and local laws concerning helicopter operations both as a pilot and as an operator; secured aircraft, pilot, and operator certification under Federal Aviation Regulation Parts 61, 91, 133, and 141.
Enroute Air Traffic Control Specialist, Federal Aviation Administration, Seattle ARTCC, Auburn WA, (1990 to 1992). Provided separation and control instructions to civil and military aircraft operating within the National Airspace System.
District Executive for Exploring, Columbia Pacific Council, Boy Scouts of America, Portland, OR (1989 to 1990). Directed professional and volunteer staff of thirty-five. Recruited and trained adult leaders for national youth program. Solicited and secured corporate sponsorship of educational program serving 1800 students.
