By the way, in the 1920s, "Mamma" referred to ones girlfriend not ones 
actual mother. That would be weird even for the "Roaring '20s" :-)

I mention to my elderly aunt Mary once that I had several Ted Lewis records, 
did she know who that was and she said, "He's the one with the funny hat."
