"MacNamara's Band", Bing Crosby - Decca 23495-A (12/06/1945) This week's theme: St. Patrick's Day It's not really St. Patrick's Day without Bing Crosby. No wait, that's Christmas ... Of well. Like many Americans I'm sort of mongrel mutt of European nationalities. But my mother was 3/4 Irish, so that's my largest slice. Ireland Uber Alles! No wait, I'm getting my ancestors mixed up again. ***************************************************** Swezey family tree I had an interesting e-mail a few years ago from a guy who said he did family-tree / genealogical research and that while researching another family, he discovered a great deal of interesting information about my family, the Swezey family. Well, needless to say, I'm always interested in something like that. Anyway he went on to say that he had uncovered indisputable evidence that the Swezey family was directly descendant from the royal family of the "lost" continent of Atlantis! Wow! And he said that for $500 he'd be happy to share that information with me. You know, just enough to cover his research expenses. Well, at the time, I didn't have a lot of extra money that I wanted to spend on something like that, so I didn't, but now I fear I will never know the truth about this! (Okay, maybe I think I actually DO know the truth about this :-) It WOULD explain a lot of weird family stories ... well, maybe not. I have two older brothers so I guess I'm not the rightful "king" of Atlantis, but I would be a "prince". Ya, I think I kinda like that idea. Anyway, if you feel the need to refer to me by my title from now on, I believe a prince is address as "Your Highness", ya, I think I like that too - but only if you feel the need to (and I bet you don't :-) Who says you can't trust what you read on the internet? I trust it implicitly, now :-) Happy St. Patrick's Day! And Stay Jazzed! --Tom Swezey --
