Did you see the eclipse Monday?
It was really spectacular! The stars came out - the sky rippled with 
alternating bands of inundating purple and green waves, the moon exploded 
into a million bits of shimmering phosphorescence and fell all around me 
like little flaming meteors while the sun turned shocking pink and ... no 
wait ... I think I dreamed all that.

Actually, it was a dud. The sky was overcast and I couldn't see anything.

I haven't been this disappointed since Geraldo Rivera opened Al Capone's 
Vaults on live TV and only found a couple of empty gin bottles :-)
