Fran Allison was the "Fran" in the children's TV puppet show of the 1950s 
called "Kukla, Fran and Ollie".

I don't remember the show at all, but I did have a pair of hand-me-down 
Kukla, Fran and Ollie pajamas, so I sort of knew who they were.
