Buffalo River Folkswalk
Saturday and Sunday, May 1-2

Location: Buffalo River State Park, Glyndon Lake, MN 56547

Registration will be at the Picnic Area. On Saturday you may start 
after 10 a.m. and finish by 6 p.m.; on Sunday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The trail will consist of our multi-loop choices for a 10km walk. 
Trails will be on hiking and multi-use trails with some hills. 
Rating: 2.

The Award is a leather Bobolink bird pin mounted on an embossed ribbon.

Cost of the award is $8; IVV credit only is $3; walk only is $2. 
Additional $1 if award must be mailed. Pre-registration deadline is 
April 10...pre-registration is highly recommended.

Water and restrooms are available at the start/finish area. We 
encourage walkers to carry water on all events!

How to get there: The park is located 4.5 miles east of Glyndon, or 
14 miles east of Moorhead. Entrance to the park is from US Hwy. 10.

Second event opportunity! Help the Hawley Volkssport Club celebrate 
their 25th anniversary! Their event will be open both days, May 1-2 
in Hawley, just a few miles down the road from Buffalo River. Plan to 
stay the weekend and walk both of these great folkswalk 
opportunities! NSTT has staggered its starting times to make it 
easier for traveling walkers to finish both events. Year round events 
are also available in Fargo and Wahpeton, ND sponsored by Red River 
Volkssports.

Directions from the Twin Cities (about 225 miles, just over 4 hours):
  I94 Northwest to MN 9 at Barnsville. MN 9 north 15 miles
  to US 10 (there is an earlier intersection with Clay county
  10 at Downer, continue north on MN9). East about 1 1/2 miles to Park.
