Whitewater Folkswalk Saturday & Sunday, June 19-20 Co-sponsored by: Whitewater State Park Registration will be at the North Picnic Area. You may start anytime after 8 a.m. and finish by 5 p.m. either day. This 10km walk will feature two loops that will take you up on the bluffs of the park. Alternatives will be available for those unable or unwilling to climb the hills. This will be a strenuous walk with 337 steps taking you up 200 feet to the top of the bluff. Trails at the top are rugged and you should wear boots or sturdy shoes. Trail ratings: 2 to 4. The Award is a leather beaver pin mounted on an embossed ribbon. Cost of the award is $8; IVV credit only is $3; walk only is $2. Additional $1 if award must be mailed.Pre-registration deadline is May 20 ... pre-registration is highly recommended. It is eight miles north of the St. Charles exit of I-90. Group camping is available.
