R e g i s t r a t i o n Start/finish: Picnic Area Start times: You may start anytime after 9 a.m. and finish by 4 p.m. Refreshments: Water and vault toilets are available near the shelter. NSTT feeds its walkers! Every NSTT event offers an "event picnic" available to all event participants for a small donation to cover the cost of providing these refreshments. The menu may vary, but the food is always tasty and cooked over the open fire! T h e T r a i l The trail is 10K and will include a variety of terrain through rich mixed hardwood forest, with fall maple colors possible. The Cannon River area formed the boundary between the "Big Woods" of the Minnesota and Mississippi River Valley. Sakatah Lake is a natural widening of the Cannon River. The trail has some hills and is rated a 2+. Portions may not be suitable for strollers. Rated: 2+. T h e A w a r d The Award is one of walkers' favorites ... a leather bird pin depicting the Pileated Woodpecker, commonly seen in this area &emdash; deadline for pre-registration is September 15. The award will cost $8, or $9 if we need to mail your award. IVV credit only is $3. If you just want to walk, the cost of $2 will help toward the cost of sponsoring the event.
