R e g i s t r a t i o n Start/finish: Visitor Center Start times: Registration for the walk will be at the Picnic Shelter starting at 1:30 p.m. The group will leave on the walk as soon as all are registered. D e s c r i p t i o n Return again to Lake Maria State Park and walk the trails together at this special event to celebrate NSTT's fifth anniversary and the 15th anniversary of folkssport events in Minnesota State Parks. Participants will go out as a group and walk the multiple loop trail, starting and ending at the Visitor Center. Refreshments: Water and toilets are available at the Center. T h e T r a i l The trail winds through gently rolling wooded areas on surfaces of hardpack and grass. This trail is not suitable for strollers or wheelchairs. Rated: 3. T h e A w a r d The Award has not been determined yet, however, it is planned to incorporate the NSTT 5th anniversary logo, as shown. Cost of the award is $8. Pre-registration is suggested; reorders will be made but you will have to pay postage - deadline is October 15. C o s t IVV credit only is $3. If you just want to walk, the cost of $2 will help toward the cost of sponsoring the event. There are no refunds for any reason. G e t t i n g T h e r e The park is located 35 miles west of the Twin Cities just south of I-94 near Monticello. It can be reached from the north via County State Aid Highway 8 and Wright County 111, and from the south via County State Aid Highway 39 and Wright County 111. Watch for brown state park signs.
