Maggie and her new brother |
We wish to thank all the selfless and giving people
who made Maggie's rescue possible. Abandoned in a boarding kennel
in Montreal, Maggie was rescued by Trinity of Hope's Krys Prichard
and taken to Krys' home in Ottawa. After Maggie was given the
medical attention she needed, she was then placed in Cathy Scott's
home for foster care. We read about Maggie and applied to adopt
her. When our home was determined to be a match for Maggie's
needs, the Canine Underground Railway agreed to provide the transportation
which would enable Maggie to travel from Ottawa, Ontario to our
home in Minneapolis, Minnesota. A camera traveled with Maggie,
and although only a few of the pictures turned out, we still
have some visual record of Maggie's incredible journey home (SEE
BELOW). We are truly indebted to those remarkable volunteers
who gave so much to unite Maggie with the family who adores her.
Thank you Krys and Yves, Cathy and John, and the CUR volunteers:
Alan Peters, Tom Greer, Bob James, Terry & Diane O'Keefe,
Gloria & Chuck Cuthbert, Patti Roberts, Elaine Brown, Tami
McKenna, and Jeff Maid. |
