| Good evening video game fans!
Just a quick update this evening on when some new reviews
will be posted.
First of all, as mentioned in the October
7th update, I was notified that I should receive my PS2 at
launch. However, the site that I ordered it from (I'll leave it
un-named for now, but let's just say it's a well known game
retailer) has shut down its phone support and put up a
constantly full voice mail box instead. The message claims that
this is due to a recent increase in call volume. I have e-mailed
them as well as leaving a phone message, but the bottom line is
that I cannot, at the moment, confirm when my system will
arrive.
Assuming, my PS2 and memory card arrive on or before Friday,
I plan to spend a few days playing Ridge Racer V, trying out a
few enhanced PS1 games and watching DVDs to test out the new
system. Then sometime around Tuesday or Wednesday of next week
I'll post a review of the system (and RR5) with all the
highlights.
Meanwhile, I have just confirmed that I should receive my
copy of The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask in just a few days.
Since this is likely going to be a very engrossing gaming
experience, I'm planning to hold off on reviewing it until I've
spent at least a day or two playing with my PS2 (if it arrives).
So early next week will likely be the soonest that I'll really
get to sit down with Link's latest adventure. I'll try to post
my review on the game by the end of next week.
So that's where the site stands for now. It all depends on
when or if Sony's fancy little black box shows up at my door.
