Almost there.....

(That's a Star Wars reference for those out of the know ;-)

Good news!

After a few relatively minor problems, I've gotten Win ME up and running quite smoothly (so far ;). I don't know what everyone's griping about -- the built in zip file support, quick boots and the system recover has already made it more than worth my $50! Anyway, without further ado, here's what I've got planned for the site.....

I'm currently working on a facelift for the whole site that will maintain the overall image that it has now, but will make accessing reviews for the various systems quick and easy. This may take a while to get finished, but I'm thinking that I should be able to get the first bits of it up over the next two weeks. I've acquired a copy of Front Page, so hopefully its management capabilities will prevent any bad links during the changeover. If you find any bad links on the site (not including news articles, which will eventually be removed), please let me know.

As sort of a warm up for returning to the site, I plan to do some reviews of the games that I got to play (when I got the chance) during the long period that this site was inactive. Just a few of the games that I'm planning to include are Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation (PC & DC), Resident Evil: Code Veronica (DC) and Soul Calibur (DC). Since there are several titles (and in the interest of moving on to newer titles), these reviews will probably be a little shorter than the other reviews on the site. Don't worry though, I'll do my best to make them concise yet still really worthwhile. I'm hoping to have the first review up next week sometime if things go smoothly.

I'm guessing that I'll be able to start renting more new games (mostly Dreamcast games) in early October, which will lead nicely into the release of the new Zelda game and of course the big launch of the PS2.

As for PC games and DVD movies, here's the deal: I don't do much game playing on the PC, so there won't be many game reviews for the PC except for the few PC games that really catch my interest. On the other hand, I've been watching DVDs on my PC (routed through the TV) as often as possible and I have many reviews that I would like to write. However, I plan to save my DVD reviews for the big releases or for times when there aren't too many games coming out.

As always, if you have any constructive comments on these plans, drop me a line and tell me what you think!

That's all for now!
