Mr. N64's Breakdown of Game Elements:

Graphics:
Game graphics will be rated based on their use of available technology and their effect on the game as a whole. Graphics are rated on a 5 point scale:

5 = Wonderfull, 1 = Awfull

Music:

Music will be rated based on the music's appropriateness with respect to the game's setting, as well as how catchy or annoying it is. Music is rated on a 5 point scale:

5 = Awesome music, 1 = Turn the sound off

Sound FX:

Sound effects are rated based on their clarity and how cool or annoying they are. Rated on a 5 point scale:

5 = Great FX, 1 = Nails on a chalk board

Play Control:

Thr game's play control is rated based on the games responsiveness to input and the quality of the control scheme. Rated on a 10 point scale:

10 = Oneness with the computer, 1 = You'll end up shouting "Argh! I didn't do that! Stupid computer!"

Frustration Factor:

The Frustration Factor depends on whether the game is repetitive, too difficult, won on luck rather than skill, or has poor play control. Rated on a 10 point scale, with 10 being the worst.

A "1" means a perfect balance of challenge with enjoyment. A "10" means to be carefull -- you may end up smashing the game with a hammer!
