The first section is dedicated to bike racing in the upper midwest. It includes a month by month calendar of bike racing events: road and mountain as well as helpful pages to direct you to different clubs, organizations and more. A photo section covers events taken around 1999 by Michelle Smith and others. Of course we always welcome new material of cycling events to add to the gallery.
The second section is dedicated to railroad pictures taken by the webmaster from 1954 through 2003. There a number of pages that show railroading - mostly in the Chicago area - of what is now fallen flags: railroads that were either abandoned or absorbed by mergers. Also included are traction pictures of light rail, trolleys, elevated and the North Shore Line which ran until 1963 from Chicago to Milwaukee. A new page has been added to the rail section devoted to Metro Transit in Minneapolis-St. Paul. Most pictures are of the new light rail taken during the testing prior to the 26 June 2004 opening. Please click here to look at the pictures. There are at this time no links set up on the individual pages on this site.
The third and final section is dedicated to the State of Minnesota, again with photographs taken by the webmaster. While the majority are within the Twin Cities area there are also shots in the Duluth area as well as in southeast segment of the state.
The first website dated back to 1997 and was dedicated only to Minnesota cycling activities. We thank those who have helped in securing information but are always looking for additional material for the cycling section. The other two sections are updated and changed from time to time by the webmaster from his vast library of photographs and slides as well as photo shoots. It is not open for contributions from others.
