Hello, my name is Keon. I am 12 years old. I'm in the 7th grade. I live with my mom in Minnesota, and I am the youngest of 5 children. My older brothers and sisters live outside of our home. I am an uncle, too. I have 3 nieces and 2 nephews.

Sometimes I like to go swimming, but my mom worries because my sister drowned in 1991. I don't like to worry my mom, so I don't go swimming very often. Some other things I like are singing and listening to music. I like rap music the best. Some of my favorite entertainers are:

My hobby is collecting basketball cards. I have a collection of over 200 cards. Sometimes I trade with card dealers, and I trade with my friends, too. My two greatest cards are Grant Hill's college basketball, and Harvey Catchings. Harvey played 11 seasons, from 1974 to 1985, in the NBA. Harvey starred for the Philadelphia 76ers, New Jersey Nets, Milwaukee Bucks, and the Los Angeles Clippers. A defensive specialist, Catchings recorded 1,226 career blocked shots. Now he is president of Harvey Catchings Promotions, a company that recently moved into the top ten percent of the advertising industry in sales. Harvey Catchings is also in his first year as the National Spokesperson for the NBA Stay In School Program.
I also play football for our neighborhood park. I play offensive center and guard. The name of our team is The North Commons. That's my plan for the future -- to play football and basketball. I plan on attending one of the four colleges listed below:
