Zapventures with Shoop

A sheepy online photo-diary

Let me at 'em!
Here you have it. The promised photo-diary of the ups and downs of training Zap in herding. I, the human, have never trained a dog for herding before - I've been around my fair share of livestock over the years, but I've never trained a pooch to shepherd the herd... and the only ducks I've really, truly, worked with in a dog-training sort of way have been very, very, very dead.

So here we are - telling it like it is - rain or shine, "What a dog! You rock!" days and "I'm going to turn you into horse food!" days... it's all here. Some entries will be in my voice, others in Zap's, some in the observer's (be it Auntie Emily or Daddy Joe)...

Every dog is different, every dog's learning process is different. This isn't meant to be a guide to train your dog, but it's meant to be a close-up look at what it takes to head out there, roll up your sleeves, and get down to where the sheep poop meets the road (so to speak), as a complete novice.

Zap and I have no shame. We hope.
