The episode still airs regularly in Canada, and quite often on the National Geographic Network, around the world. Valen enjoys getting fan mail from everywhere - most recently from Sweden and the Netherlands!
Valen has appeared in a handful of newspaper articles back home in Ottawa, usually because of his work with a local child. He enjoys all the attention, but would rather continue to do his job without all the fuss and bother. He's not a "star" at heart, just a guy who does his job and doesn't understand what the fuss is all about...!
