Photo Op at the Ridgedale Port

Yarrr. Even though I don't like walkin' the plank and takin' me bath, I do like being a handsome pirate. Last Friday, early in the morn, before we even got a chance to swab the deck, eat our hardtack or slug back some grog, the Captain tossed us all into the dreaded Tub-of-the-Deep. Captain let us out to take care of doin' what a sea-dog needs to do but wouldn't let us romp through the poop-deck. Yarrr n' flamin' bones!

Later that morn, just as we be sittin' down for some tack n' grog, Auntie Emily (the finest wench who visits our ship regularly) came by and the Navigator also came home early from his expedition to the land of Downtown, where he plunders (and blunders?) all day. The Navigator took the Toller-of-Nine-Tails and put him in his wheeled rowboat and headed away - Land Ho! Auntie Emily and the Captain tossed me and the First Mate into Auntie Emily's wheeled rowboat and we followed, too. Second wave o' attack, that be us! We set sail for the Ridgedale Port in Minnetonka and docked without much trouble. I slept most of the way there. I figured it would be smarter (Arr!) for me to be a-restin' and get all me wits about me for plunderin' and gatherin' booty once we got there. Arr.

When we got there, we got off the boats and signaled our arrival at Flash! Digital Photography. YARRRRR! I suggested we use cannons, n' our hyperdog slingshot n' chuckits to chuck nasty gooey tennisballs, and that we go for loud barks but the Captain said no. She always be sayin' no. I wonder why that is, I mean, we're FIERCE and all that!

There, we got pampered by two wenches - one called a pho-to-graaaaarw-pher n' an assistant. They both thought I was the most handsomest pirate they'd ever seen! HA! Then, the Navigator, Auntie Em, the two wenches and the Captain made us do silly tricks while flashing bright lights at us. The First Mate was a little excited about it all, but I didn't really see what the fuss was all about, other than all the fuss about ME because I'm so handsome anyway. I practiced me muggin' for the camera (waitin' for the birdie!) and a lady stopped in to ask me Captain about usin' me n' me crewmates in some advertisin' and commercials. The Captain said "Certainly!" and let her know where our ship makes berth every eve. I took that opportunity to smooch the wenches and all those wrangling us fearsome pirates.

It took about a half hour and then we waited to see the results of this expedition. Darn, I be handsome! I'm a-postin' the pictures in their own album so you can all see. Yarrrr!

Settin' sails n' headin' due North,

~Pirate
