Qajaq and his litter mate Summer in their first race. That's LuAnn on the runners. What you can't see is that they are running toward all the kids at the finish line. They spent their time before entering the chute surrounded by children and you couldn't tell who was enjoying it more.

Qajaq and LuAnn taking off for a ski-joring run. There's nothing quite like waking up to 8 inches of new powder on the tent. The skiing wasn't too good, but it doesn't get any prettier.

Midway through a 10 miler with friends, both human and canine. We've learned a tremendous amount about the dog powered sports and our canine atheletes from the Malamute club here in Minnesota. You just don't find better people.

With LuAnn in back, Barb Gage (the Snow Angel) mushes the dogs for the first time. Her nickname comes from the position she assumed when she didn't hold on tight enough the first time the dogs took off. She tried to say she was just making snow angels on the trail. That's Pitsiaq (l) and Qajaq (r) followed by the Gage's T.J.(l) and Bucca (r).
