Speech Expert and Talk Show Host Team up to present Ebonics Forum

 
In honor of Martin Luther King Day, speech/language consultant, Marlene Schoenberg, will team up with "Person to Person" host, Andrea Rhines, to facilitate a community forum on the subject of Ebonics in the workplace. Ms. Rhines is well known in the Twin Cities African-American community for her seminars on self-esteem and personal success. 
 
Ms. Schoenberg is the president of Ethnic Communication Arts, a multi cultural speech consulting firm.  She has worked with African-American employees from receptionists to vice presidents to help them achieve their professional speaking goals. She adds a unique linguistic and international perspective to the current debate on Black English. 
 
The program will take place on Monday, January 20th from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Perkins Highland Restaurant, 800 Cleveland Ave. South (at Ford Parkway) in St.  Paul, MN. If registration is received before January 15th, the cost is $20 (including continental breakfast), and $25 (including a full breakfast). Add $5 for late registration. Reservations are requested.
