| 1954 saw Kaiser merging operations with the newly aquired Willys Motors of Toledo OH. By this time budgets for product development were virtually nonexistant. A McCulloch supercharger was added to the 226 L-Head Continental engine to compete in the horsepower war of the 50's. Kaiser also looked to the Buick XP-300 show car for revised front end sheet metal (Wouldn't you really rather have a Buick?, by 1954 most people did.). | New Interiors for the 1954 Manhattan were used. Highlights included a revised dash and instrument clustor. Interiors continued to be luxurious with revised materials and paterns.
